The Ears

While keeping the acoustic characters of the silicone ears, we made them thicker and sturdier. A special dust proof layer is also added to the surface that makes the ears very easy to clean. 

The Capsules

Binal 2 is equipped with two EM272 omni-directional mic capsules from Primo, a Japan high end microphone manufacturer. This capsule has an excellent S/N ratio of 80 dB (at 1kHz). It gives you a flat natural frequency response in the range of 20 Hz to 20kHz with a 2dB soft boost in 4k - 10kHz range.

    Capsule Isolation Technology

    Inside Binal 2, an innovative technology is used to prevent the microphones from capturing unwanted vibration noises transmitted through the desktop stand or boom pole.

    On each channel inside Binal 2, a tiny "shock mount" is used to attach the mic capsule to the main body. It isolates the shocks from the microphone stand or boom pole, but it will let the "touch sound" from the silicone ears go through. This design is perfect when Binal 2 is used for ASMR.
